Film Roll: Skating the University of Kansas Parking Garage

Sundays on the hot summer plains are for skating the KU parking garage. This place always reminds me of my days in Los Angeles and the concrete I skated in the 110-degree summers of the San Fernando Valley. Those garages were lined with expensive-grilled vehicles but were still better to skate than the Valley's jagged sidewalks, and the only worthwhile shade I could find. But this place also reminds me of, well, this place, and the days growing more and more distant I was a film student here. This garage is where I parked for evening classes and the reason I spent 20 minutes leading up to them scrounging dirty pants pockets for quarters.
